ok so basically wat its trying to say is that since 42 is the answer to everything and that the tiles asked “WHAT DO YOU GET IF YOU MULTIPLY SIX BY NINE?” so obviously the answer would be 42 if its the answer to everything

i cant believe that u ppl didnt get it and i did even tho im just in middle school lol xD

Ney, try this one then:
(multiplications of numbers between 10 and 19 are easy: eg. 16×17= 160+70 + 6×7 or 170+60 + 42 = 272)

42 is not the answer to the ultimate question.
They asked Deepthought about what the answer to the ultimate question is, “she” then million years later tells them that it is “42″. BUT then she said that they’re question wasn’t really a question at all. Therefore = 42 is not the answer to EVERYTHING. Instead it is the answer to nothing. “The absolute nothing” is 42.

So in the book it is discovered that Arthur Dent is part of the machine to calculate the ultimate question, only the machine wasn’t done calculating. This question ( the one done in scrabble tiles) is prolly close to the REAL ultimate question, to which the anwser is 42.

what i got from it was yin and yang, yin, being the dark, passive, downward, cold, contracting, and weak, yang would be bright, active, upward, hot, expanding, and strong
together they are 42, 42 being the universe

Look at everything, not in base 13, but just with a clear eye and you will find it. Can’t you see it?
It is simple, Clear as water. easy as abc, 123.
(In my entire life, I only met one guy who knows just I do, that is why I’m not going to tell it.)
Reading the Holy Bible might help you a little bit, specially the Gospel according to Matthew and the Revelation, the part of the number of the beast. Have you noticed that 6*6+6 = 42??
